10 Actresses Who Could Play Killer Frost in Suicide Squad 2

While everyone might not be too excited about a sequel after the first lackluster team-up movie, the fact remains that there are still big Hollywood stars interested in the franchise. With rumours of Killer Frost replacing Harley Quinn as the female lead of the movie, this begs the question of who could outshine Margot Robbie after such a beautiful performance in such a terrible movie? Well, there are plenty of A-list celebrities who could be a good fit for Killer Frost, and I think I can name just a few.

1. Elizabeth Banks

If you’ve seen Banks’ performance in the new Power Rangers film, then you know for a fact that she would be a perfect Killer Frost. In that role alone, she proved that she could play a villain menacing enough to be the soul antagonist of a film, and had lots of fun showing just how crazy she can get on camera. Killer Frost has plenty of crazy moments that Banks could have fun with, and is the type of actress that could rival Robbie’s performance as Harley Quinn.

2. Emily Blunt

Emily Blunt is the type of actress that keeps getting high profile action roles, and this could be another one of those. While she hasn’t proven that she can play an unhinged character just yet, she is a veteran when it comes to being the lead female in an action movie, and could easily do so once again. I believe that with plenty of makeup and CGI, Blunt could look the part of Killer Frost perfectly, and could get fans hyped up about her potential in the role.

3. Gwyneth Paltrow

Gwyneth Paltrow may seem like an off-the-wall choice for Killer Frost, but I assure you that it makes plenty of sense. If you’ve seen Iron Man 3, then you know that Paltrow can go full badass as well as she can play a fierce business lady, and those skills could transfer over to a role like Killer Frost. Perhaps she would be better suited to play more evil than insane, but she could still make a fine addition to the film.

4. Angelina Jolie

Through almost twenty years, one thing has remained constant; people love Angelina Jolie. Casting her as Killer Frost would completely revitalize everyone’s hope in this film, and could provide for an interesting take on the character. She has shown that she plays terrific villains, and could turn this film into a blockbuster with ease.

5. Rosamund Pike

If you have any questions as to why Rosamund Pike should play this villain, look no further than Gone Girl. In that film, she was cold, calculated, and absolutely insane. What more could you want from Killer Frost?

6. Emilia Clarke

Emilia Clarke has shown through her evolution on Game of Thrones that she has plenty of range to play any character, and Killer Frost is included in that spectrum. As everyone knows, the show is about to enter into its last season, and it’s only natural that Clarke moves into making blockbuster movies. Besides, doesn’t she look good with bleach blonde hair?

7. Rooney Mara

Perhaps not as famous as the other patrons of this list, Mara could still give an astounding performance. She’s used to playing creepy and villainous characters, so taking this role certainly wouldn’t deviate from what she is used to. She has the perfect look for the pale and chilling Killer Frost, and would fill the costume perfectly if given the chance.

8. Famke Janssen

Not known for much aside from her role in the X-Men films, Janssen is still an action powerhouse. Just like Mara, she could give an excellent performance despite her absence from the A-list of top stars. Watch her transform herself into The Phoenix in X-Men: The Last Stand, and you’ll know that with the proper hair and makeup, Famke would be a force to be reckoned with as Killer Frost.

9. Charlize Theron

GIven the hype that is still surrounding her role in Atomic Blonde, there shouldn’t be anybody that thinks Theron as Killer Frost is a bad idea. Not only was she a bleach blonde badass (try saying that three times fast), but she did the majority of her own stunts, and became a proficient fighter just for the film. I would imagine that she is dying to show that off again, and this could be her perfect outlet to do that.

 10. Scarlett Johansson

I know, I know, she’s already playing Black Widow. However unlikely, you can’t help but admit that the idea of Johansson as Killer Frost is exciting! Imagine the pinnacle of all female action stars taking on the lead villain in the newest DCEU film, and tell me you don’t get a little giddy on the inside.

What do you think? Who should play Killer Frost? Let me know in the comments!
