13 Movies Chris Farley May Have Starred In If He Was Still Alive

I love a good comedy and one of my favorite comedies has got to be movies that had SNL characters in them. One of my favorite SNL characters has got to be Chris Farley. It was a shame when he passed away because prior to his passing he had a lot of movies that he was going to work on had he still be alive. He was even going to start the franchise Shrek. Yes, he was going to play Shrek in the movie Shrek. There have even been some recordings of his dialogue when he’s talking to Eddie Murphy, who played Donkey, in the movie Shrek.

You can look it up here on YouTube.

I even did my own version of what would have happened if Chris Farley’s voice was in the movie Shrek and you can click the link right here:

For this article, I would like to talk about some of the movies that I personally think Chris Farley would have been in had he stilled been alive. I’m going to go over soon movies that were in development when he passed away, and also movies that he could definitely been in if he was still alive today.

So without further ado here is a list of movies that Chris Farley would have been in had he still been alive today. Just as a heads up, I’ll be focusing on popular movies that would’ve done well at the box office, had they’ve been made.

Movies Chris Farley Was Working On, Or Rumored To Be In Prior To His Death:

Shrek

As I mentioned earlier, he was going to voice Shrek. Just think what the franchise would’ve been if he was the lead role in it.

The Superfans Movie

This was going to be an SNL movie based on the short skits that had to deal with superfans of Da Bears.

Ghostbusters III: Hellbent

In an interview with Harold Ramis, he had this to say about what would have been,

“Here’s how old the rumors are: Chris Farley was one of the rumors. It was going to be Chris Farley, Ben Stiller, and Chris Rock.”

With Ghostbusters: Afterlife coming out, it would be cool to see Chris Farley as a Ghost

Movies We Would Love To See Chris Farley In If He Was Still Alive:

Grown Ups Franchise(2010-2013):

He would have been in that franchise along with Adam Sandler, David Spade, and Rob Schneider. He would have replaced Kevin James in that role easily. In fact, Chris Farley would’ve replaced all of Kevin James’s roles in his movies if Chris Farley was still alive.

Here Comes the Boom(2012)

Pual Blart 1& 2 (2009 & 2015)

The Emperor’s New Groove(2000)

He would’ve voiced Pacha, and be with David Spade yet again.

Lost & Found(1999)

He could’ve played Wally, Spade’s large friend.

Little Nicky(2000)

He could’ve played as himself married to Reese Witherspoon’s character, or a Metal Head helping Nicky on his journey.

Transylvania Franchise(2012-2018)

He could’ve either voiced Frank or the Blob.

Hubie Halloween (2020)

He could’ve played Sergeant Steve Downey(Kevin James), Sergeant Blake(Kenan Thompson), or Father Dave(Michael Chiklis).

Here is a list of movies that I personally think Chris Farley would be good in:

Coneheads 2

He would’ve been reprising his role as Ronnie, and he’s a father to a half Conehead and half-human child.

Matt Foley Movie

He could’ve brought an SNL character to the big screen, and we would’ve seen his humble beginnings when he was living in a van down by the river.

Disney’s MCU; he could’ve played The Thing from The Fantastic Four, or The Blob from the X-Men. Think about it, he’s agile for a man his size. He would’ve been perfect for those role(s).

What movies do you think Chris Farley would be perfect in?
