It is not every day you get a love tap from a large brown bear while you cozily take a nap by your pool! Well, it happened in Greenfield, Mass by a curious bear taking an afternoon stroll. The Bete household left the side gate of their yard open while Matt decided to take a leisurely nap. This was all captured on the family’s Ring camera and shared on Facebook. The inquisitive bear casually walked towards the pool and decided to play a while and take a drink.
When the brown bear was done it turned around and realized there was a human being laying on a lounge chair. I think the bear thought to itself, what are you doing in my chair? It slowly ambled towards the sleeping man and quietly sniffed his foot, not getting a response the bear took its paw and nudged the man’s foot. Of course, he startled awake which scared the bear and he quickly ran away. Now fully awake, Matt picked up his camera and began videoing the bear leaving, for a brief moment the bear comes back into view.
The fluffy bear seems to just have wanted an afternoons repose by the pool with a little company, wanting to find out if it was too cold, too hot, or just right. Who knows maybe he’ll come back a different day to find out.
