Comic-Con Revolution 2020 Postponed

The popular Comic convention hosted in Ontario Californian has been a mainstay of Entertainment conventions for the last three years, starting out small it has grown larger with each year and has become known for its focus on comics and its stream of well-known celebrities from all over the world.

Sadly the convention organizers announced that due to the ongoing COVID-19 crisis Comic-Con Revolution 2020 will be postponed to May 2021, this follows the cancellation of many other comic and entertainment conventions from this year. The organizers released the following statement below

“After much deliberation with all relevant parties including the CCR Team, our guests, the convention center and the city of Ontario it was determined that the most responsible and prudent decision is to reschedule the show to 2021.

The lack of clear guidelines of how to properly put on an event that will have thousands of people gathering together caused by this once-in-a-lifetime situation have made it impossible to proceed. In addition to the health concerns for everyone from staff, to vendors, to guests, to attendees we also had to look at the financial ramifications of proceeding.

Looking forward to 2021, we plan to begin announcing guests and experience packages later this summer. We will also be rolling out some fun video chats and CCR virtual panels, as well as begin our regular podcast this summer and we hope you will join us!”

While this news is very disappointing it is nice to hear that safety is the main concern on the staff, and that tickets are transferable till next year. They also said to keep an eye on the website as they will be announcing some virtue panel events and other fun activities. We will keep you updated on any new developments.
