Creepy Cute in Conroe, TX: Kimo Kawaii Returns

The Kimo Kawaii Anime Experience & Convention continues the tradition of giving attendees a more interactive convention experience with voice acting opportunities, a Japanese Arcade room hosted by Okashi Houston, Battle of the Bands, and the premier of KUSHI & THE ANNUNAKI, filmed at last year’s convention. This family-friendly event is June 3 – 4 at the Lonestar Convention and Expo Center, 9055 Airport Rd, Conroe, TX. Kimo Kawaii is thrilled to premiere the anime series, KUSHI & THE ANNUNAKI, which features the voices of both 2022 attendees and celebrity guests. Kimo Kawaii Anime Experience & Convention offered a unique Do a Voice Over Ticket add-on, where guests could participate in an actual on-location film, complete with names in the credits alongside industry professionals, and witnessing their voice bring characters to life on screen. In continuing this tradition, the Do a Voice Over Ticket add-on has been included in this year’s event.

The winner of this year’s Battle of the Bands will be the recipient of a cash prize, trophy, Hall of Fame status, and radio play. This year’s contestants include current champions American Psychos (Punk Band), Khathodik (Gothic Rock/Metal), Gross Angel (Video Game Hip Hop), and Walking Ghost Phase (Metal Core). and John Gentry (Country). The Battle of the Bands competition begins at 7:00 pm on Saturday, May 3.

New this year is the Japanese Arcade Room hosted by Okashi Houston. Come join the fun and experience all things anime. Events and activities include a Cosplay contest, Voice Over Sessions, an Anime-themed Fashion show, panels, amazing artists, exhibitors, Celebrity Voice Over actors, popular local Cosplayers, Pictures with Totoro and so much more!
