Could at some point in the future death be considered as big a deal as a headache?
In a groundbreaking medical trial a team of scientists are planning on regenerating the brains of people who are dead. Indian specialist Dr Himanshu Bansal, working with Biotech companies Revita Life Sciences and Bioquark Inc. Bansal has been granted permission to run his explosive new test.
The scientists will use a combination of lasers designed to stimulate the nervous system. This has been used to bring people out of comas. They will also inject stem cells and peptides into the brain dead. The members of the trail have been certified as dead, and are only alive through life support.
After the procedures have been completed, scientists will monitor the patients for signs of brain and upper spinal cord regeneration. The team believes that brain cells may be able to reboot themselves and re-start life again. The CEO of Bioquark Inc said “This represents the first trial of its kind and another step towards the eventual reversal of death in our lifetime.”
