It’s that time again when everyone’s favorite Southeast Texas comic convention for education comes back. That’s right Eastern Rim Retro Con and Funny Book show is back. On August 27th and 28th, 2022, fans of all ages are invited to enjoy a family-friendly show.
Michael “Boogaloo Shrimp” Chambers also known as Turbo from the movie “Breakin” will be a guest of honor.
Like past shows admission and parking are free, and there will be plenty of fun for fans at the show. There will be comic book artists that have done extensive work that has been brought from pages to screen.
Comic creators such as Tony Isabella (creator of Black Lightning), Glenn Fabry artist of such books as Hellblazer and Preacher), Joe Eisma, Vo Nguyen, Val MAyerik (co-creator of Howard The Duck), and Steve Erwin will be attending as well.
Cosplayers will be on hand dressed up as your favorite comic book, anime, and pop culture characters. There will be vendors selling everything from comics to toys. There will also be authors and craftspeople sharing their works with the world.
The Eastern Rim show is a community-based fan event that helps the Fred Aguilar Promise Center. This is a show that not only feels good but does good.
