In the world of comics sometimes topics such as religion or faith aren’t exactly that popular. However different independent publishers have begun to put books out concerning faith-based viewpoints and biblical concepts. One such studio is Kingdom Comics.
The founder of Kingdom Comics Brian Bradley shared his unique point of view and getting inspiration for comic book ideas as well as creating a shared universe amongst his and other creators titles within the Kingdom Comics Universe.
At Wizard World Austin in November 2017 I had the opportunity to talk to mr. Bradley And get information in sight on his give Comics his faith and what he has done to share his message with the comic book world and fandom in general.
One of the projects put together by the kingdom Comics Studios is the Vision Bible, which is the bible translated into comic book medium with artist different styles coming together to tell the stories of the Old and New Testaments.
Among their titles are the Anointed 7 and an anthology book called Kingdom Comics Presents and anointed 7 Genesis tells the backstory of this dystopian world their comics are based in.
Art and story in these books are simplistic, not simple, to which Mr. Bradley has explained that stripping this down to its most basic concept made it easier to get the message across rather than burying it and overextended narrative or a bunch of digital printing special effects which is common to most modern comic books. Hopefully with a continued presence at, conventions and continued interest in Mr. Bradley’s contact line these books will continue to thrive and be sold throughout the country.
