In what is increasingly becoming the most entertaining US election in decades (perhaps even history) it is almost an everyday occurrence that something hilarious or scandalous is said by one of the two main candidates. As the campaigns of Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton daily try and grab more ratings then the other, the stress is beginning to show. A presidential campaign would not be complete without a number of funny gaffs and mistakes said by the candidates.
Recently Hillary Clinton was giving a speech in Washington DC to a joint conference for black and Hispanic journalists. The Democratic presidential nominee got more than a few laughs from the crowds when she accidentally almost referred to Donald Trump as her husband.
In the speech she said
“I hope you will compare what I’m proposing to what my husb-…my opponent is talking about,”
The room broke out into light laughter after the statement. The election for the presidency has been a bitter one with Trump and Clinton going after each other with a vengeance, it was a hilarious moment that Hillary would accidentally refer to her arch enemy as her husband. Donald Trump has yet to respond to this latest hilarious development, Trumps wife Melania Trump also has yet to voice her opinion of this latest development in the election.
