Trump’s Reality Show: FBI Director Comey You’re Fired

President Trump has fired former FBI director James Comey. The firing takes place after months of non-answers to questions. Including about whether or not the Russians were involved with the election of President Trump and as well as the refusal to publicly answer to Congress or the Senate on, or to make serious investigations into alleged email fraud and security breaches of former candidate Hillary Clinton. This dismissal is  part of a series of firings and realignments President Trump has been doing since taking office. James Comey’s firing takes place after failing to do his job on a series of scandals over the years including his involvement both infamous gun walking or Fast and Furious operation. Comey also mishandled other scandals and issues while in office while the FBI director during the Obama Administration .

His tenure during the last and current White House eras as well as different situations have shown his inadequacy as the director. Due to his past record and his unwillingness to cooperate with the current Administration, President Trump was completely right in the firing James Comey,  due to the fact no trust was left with the Director. And the president needs an FBI director that can investigate the crimes committed by those that are part of the government effectively, efficiently, and above reproach. By firing Comey President Trump is in position to put a new director in place the FBI that will be less prone to scandal or embarrassing the agency.

Also with the President’s new take on  an overall anti lobbyist position in Washington hopefully this concept can influence the choice of an FBI director. While the process to find a new director includes work by both sides of the aisle, as well as research. The final appropriate person ,we can only hope in the interim, knows the rules of law and the different departments and branches of government, acknowledges the powers they have, and are held in place so the judicial branch, executive branch and legislative branches of our government work together. Finding a new director who has the moral fortitude and a strong character that can resist attacks that come from all sides.

This would be another achievement for the President to appoint someone who could help direct one of  the oldest federal law enforcement agencies during this administration and the ones to come.
