Typing Out The The Future: Writer’s Workshop at Comic Conroe 2021

A staple at most Comics/Sci-Fi/Pop culture conventions are panels, sometimes they are with famous celebrities, artist and the like. Some are gatherings of like minded fans talking about their love of all things nerdy, and some panels are there to help. That was the goal of the Writers Workshop at Comic Conroe 2021.

Founder and President of Inklings Publishing author Fern Brady, Public Relations manager and podcaster Aimee Ravichandran, and Kelly Lynn Colby, Editorial Director/Publisher of Cursed Dragon Ship Publishing hosted the writer’s workshop and although they only had a small audience they went into detail about the discipline, management, economics, and realities of being a writer in today’s market.

It is really going to depend on the ABILITY OF the invidual author TO VIEW THEMSELVES AS A BUSINESS AND ACTUALLY WORK IT AS A BUSINESS-FERN BRADY

And they made sure that their audience had an in-depth look at the world of writing as an indepoendent, small and large press writer and pulled no punches on being a writer in the Houston, Texas, area.

there are ones who are actually publishing, and writing what their fans want and creating their worlds online.-Kelly lynn colby
