Venom was released in 2018 and went on to be a global sensation that earned over $200m domestically and $800 million worldwide! The film was very popular but there was some criticism Some of you have already watched the newest trailer for Venom: Let There Be Carnage. However, you may have missed a thing or two after watching it. So here are 5 Things You MISSED in the Venom: Let There Be Carnage Trailer
Venom And Eddie Are Training
Like any sequel, Venom and Eddie Brock are attempting to build a mutual friendship. However, Venom isn’t liking the fact that he has to follow one rule “No Eating People”. So, what does Eddie Brock do? He attempts to train Venom by having him control his aggression with a tire swing. Some of the best parts of the first Venom film were the interactions between Eddie and Venom, the “odd couple” vibe that we got was equally horrifying and hilarious, I hope it works out for both of them.
Shriek Gets Introduced in the Newest Trailer
I know what you are wondering, who is Shriek? Shriek is the woman with the sonic voice, you see her using it twice in the trailer. In the comics, she is the lover of Cletus Kasady, aka Carnage. She not only has the ability to use sonic, but can also fly and tap into people’s minds. This will be interesting to see if they show her with all three powers.
Carnage in Action
Carnage can do many things in the comics, he can shoot a web-like substance from any part of his body, is stronger than Venom, regenerate damaged body tissue, can “camouflage” on rare occasions, etc. We also see some of his abilities used in the new trailer. Hopefully, we will see more when the movie goes into theaters.
Venom and Carnage facing one another
The action sequence between Carnage and Venom looks to be intense and exciting. It starts with a confrontation inside a refurbished church and then escalates with Carnage and Venom attacking one another. The scene then shifts to Carnage throwing Venom at a wall and pinning him down, revealing how powerful Carnage is in a fight.
Eddie Brock’s Ex-Wife Gets Engaged
Not as cool as the other four things I have mentioned, but it is cool to see him and his ex, Anne, are still friends. Venom, on the other hand, is not pleased about this though. Perhaps he knows something that Eddie Brock and his ex may not know. In the comics, Eddie’s ex gets pregnant and eventually gives birth to Eddie Brock’s son (dun, dun, dun). After dropping off their son with Carl Brock, this is Eddie Brock’s dad, she ends up committing suicide after spotting Spider-Man wearing a black outfit. Sadly, you can read about her death in “The Amazing Spider-Man (Vol. 2) #19 (July 2000).
Will Eddie Brock’s plan to contain Venom’s aggression work? Will we see all three of Shriek’s powers utilized in the film? Will Venom and Carnage’s fight be as exciting as we see in the trailer? Will Anne commit suicide in the film? We will just have to find out when it hits theaters on September 24th.
