Boy of Steel: 5 Actors Who Could Play Superboy in ‘Titans’

The reveals from this year’s San Diego Comic-Con have started to flood in, and DC Universe’s Geoff Johns has all but confirmed that Superboy is going to join the cast of the upcoming superhero drama Titans. Superboy has been a fan favorite character ever since his comic book debut, and that has only been enhanced by his role in Young Justice, so it’s needless to say that there is a lot of anticipation to seeing him in live action. However, you need the right actor to play the clone of Kal-El, and I think I have a couple of ideas.

1. Robbie AmellImage result for robbie amell

If you’re a hardcore DC Comics fan, then you might remember Robbie Amell from playing Firestorm on The Flash before his character met an untimely end. Despite already playing a superhero, Amell has been chomping at the bit to land another role in the universe, and this could be the perfect opportunity. Who can you name that looks more like Superboy than Robbie Amell does? He embodies the look of the character completely, and that on top of being a terrific actor should be enough to land him the role of Conner Kent.

2. Ryan GuzmanImage result for ryan guzman

Ryan Guzman is another actor that looks eerily similar to the character, as well as being in fantastic shape for the role. While he hasn’t done much yet in his career, he does have experience in a superhero role already, having starred in NBC’s Heroes Reborn. I feel that his experience having already played a superbeing, as well as his physical looks should be enough to get him the role of Superboy, and he would make an excellent addition to the Titans cast.

3. Nick JonasImage result for nick jonas

Everyone remembers Nick Jonas, right? Well what you may not know is that since The Jonas Brothers broke up, Nick has turned his focus towards acting, and I have to say that he’s excellent at it. He always stays in fantastic shape (as exemplified by his starring role as an MMA fighter in Kingdom), and even though most people might not be able to get past the fact that he used to be in a boy band, I think that he could make a terrific Superboy all the same.

4. Douglas BoothImage result for douglas booth

Douglas Booth is an actor known for doing a handful of campy science fiction movies, but I think he’s a star just waiting happen. While his most popular role might be in Pride and Prejudice and Zombies, he has still shown a unique acting prowess in even that film, and I wouldn’t be surprised if casting directors saw that as well. He may not look as much like Superboy as everyone else on this list, but he’s a young, in-shape actor, and I think that he would fit right in with the rest of the series cast.

5. Tyler PoseyImage result for tyler posey

Tyler Posey is known for starring in MTV’s hit drama Teen Wolf, and with that series now being concluded, fans of the show have been itching to find out what big project Posey takes on next. A role as a popular DC superhero could be just what piques his interest, and I honestly think that Superboy would be a good fit for him. He bears a slight resemblance to the character, and if he were to join the cast in season two, you can expect many more people to get excited about Titans than there are now.

What do you think? Who should play Superboy? Let me know in the comments!
