Heirs To The 4-Color Future: The Works of Greg Burnham and Marcus Williams

Lately, there has been much ado about representation and modern comic books. And while some publishers try to figure out how to make that work, a unique small press publisher has found an intelligent, historically based fictional universe to showcase these ideas.

Tuskegee Heirs by writer Greg Burnham and artist Marcus Williams is a unique approach to the Sci-Fi action genre of comic books. Adding bits of history, strong characters, and a dash of giant robots, this series seems to be destined for great things.

At Fan Expo New Orleans, I got the opportunity to interview the writer and get some inside perspective about Tuskegee airs, other projects are working on, and everything fits together.

These gentlemen and the work that they are producing show them to also be heirs of Dwayne McDuffie and Kevin Grevioux in the comic book world. And taking a small press approach to publishing allows them to call their own shots.
