MCU Fans Review Bomb Denis Villeneuve’s Dune

Director Denis Villeneuve who is helming the upcoming epic sci-fi DUNE, recently went on the record and said the Marvel Cinematic Universe is guilty of producing too many “cut and paste” jobs. Needless to say, the fans of the MCU were not happy. With many taking to Twitter to criticize the director for his thoughts on the groundbreaking comic-book franchise.

Many of the Marvel fans took it a step further and began “Review bombing” his upcoming film DUNE on the social media app Letterboxd. Review bombing is a practice where people level negative reviews on one film in revenge for some kind of slight on the part of the studio or filmmaker. It’s immature and always hurts the fandom more than helps it.

These fans are toxic fans, thankfully they seem to not represent more than a TINY minority of the fans of the MCU. We all have favorite franchises, and it can be upsetting when someone criticizes or belittles what we love, however, we all have opinions and not everyone will agree with them. So just love what you love and enjoy what you enjoy!
