Nerd Con Is Truly Outrageous, Again !

The countdown is officially on! Fans of capes, cosmos, and compelling graphic narratives are invited to gather for the inaugural, or upcoming, Nerd Con—a homegrown comic convention dedicated to celebrating the vibrant world of sequential art and pop culture. This isn’t just another big-city event; it’s a hyper-local gathering designed to spotlight the incredible talent and passion right here in Mont Belvieu, TX.

Set for Saturday, November 15, 2025, at the Eagle Pointe Recreation Center, this convention promises a weekend packed with activities for every level of fandom, from seasoned collectors to first-time cosplayers.

While major conventions draw massive crowds, Nerd Con offers a unique, intimate experience that puts the spotlight squarely on local artists, creators, and vendors.

Nerd Con began in 2018 and has continued to draw fans from all over the region, bringing a true family-friendly, community comic convention has become a true destination during the fall convention season.

The heart of Nerd Con is the floor, featuring local vendors and artist tables manned by local and regional comic book artists, illustrators, writers, crafters, and vendors. Attendees will have the opportunity to purchase original art, limited-edition prints, commissioned pieces, and unique merchandise directly from the creators and local small businesses. Keep an eye out for Travis Huffman, known for their work on The Stalker as well as Editor-In-Chief of Last Sentry Comics.

Nerd Con will also have several local authors to share with during the con, such as Melissa Allgood and Rose Garcia.

Nerd Con will be host to several actors from your favorite retro franchises. From Growing Pains to Family Matters, take the opportunity to meet some of your favorite stars at the show.

The convention boasts several panels and workshops designed to inspire and inform:

  • Actors Panel: Hear from actors such as Shawn Harrison and Cherie Johnson of Family Matters, Jeremy Miller of Growing Pains, Samantha Newark, the voice of Jem from the classic cartoon series and others from your favorite franchises.
  • Living in Pop Culture: Cosplayers from across various franchises, such as G.I. Joe, Star Trek, and Star Wars, discuss how fandom fuels the creative side of cosplay.
  • Drawn to Trivia: A unique opportunity to create a comic to display at the Goss Library, as well as check your knowledge of nerdy trivia

Cosplay Contest

Don your finest armor, adjust your cowl, and prepare to strut! The annual Cosplay Contest is scheduled for 4:00-4:45 on November 15th. There will be contests for kids and adults with prizes for both levels.
