Top 5 Potential Villains Who Could Appear In Black Adam

Movie fans have a lot to be excited about with the current success of Shazam, and the recent social media announcement of Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson that production on The Black Adam movie is soon to begin. The Rock is becoming a major player in the world of Superhero movies with his participation in both the Shazam and the upcoming Black Adam movies. For those not -in-the-know, Black Adam was, in ancient Egypt, the first holder of the power of the wizard Shazam, but due to his anger and his vengeful nature had his power removed and was reverted to his mortal form Teth-Adam. We thought it’d be fun to look at the top 5 villains we would like to see appear in a Black Adam movie.

Felix Faust

A long-time DC Comics villain. The villain known as Felix Faust is a sorcerer who According to some of the versions of his story has been around for thousands of years. Felix Faust has engaged the Justice League, Zatanna, and John Constantine all in bids to try to take over the world in some manner. Faust has already been a guest villain on the short run TV series Constantine and in animated form in the Justice League Dark, straight to video animated film, as well as a villain in the DC Universe Online game. So this feeling already has a little bit of a brand name in the multimedia community.

Circe

Although this sorceress, and self-styled goddess, is traditionally a Wonder Woman villain, she is a great potential villain for Black Adam. Also, various multimedia incarnations exist in the context of the DC Universe. Although she favors changing humans into animal hybrids, or just plain animals, and wreaking various types of havoc with her abilities she has best known as a master manipulator and controller. Since Black Adam is known to be a hothead within DC Comics, this type of villain would be a unique choice for the film.

Hath-Set

This might be a bit of a stretch. However, this villain shares a background in ancient Egypt – the same as the background of Black Adam. Although normally a villain for the characters Hawkman and Hawkgirl, this villain could be a unique challenge for the first champion of Shazam. Gifted with reincarnation, as well as a genus of intellect, this will only be hard to kill completely and be a master manipulator for events and the film.

Ares

Although this one appeared to be taken out in the Wonder Woman movie starring Gal Gadot, this super villain is a master of strategy and highly super-powered. Ares is one of the few powers who will be able to go toe-to-toe and mind-to-mind with Black Adam.

Eclipso

This villain, according to DC Comics, was God’s first choice as a spirit of Vengeance upon Earth. As such he is extremely powerful. This villain was encased in an indestructible black diamond, and if held by someone during an eclipse that person would be taken over by the power of Eclipso and gain all of the strength and power and evil, of Eclipso. All this might seem far-fetched, but a villain who can channel their power through an object can basically be anyone. And with connections both to the Moon and the Sun within Egyptian history and mythology, this would tie into both Black Adams background as well as giving him yet another enemy that hit close to home for him. And although it might see a bit comic book, a pop-up villain might add the fan service surprise this movie might need.
