Traffic Stop: What Really Has Amped Up The Fight For The Border

As the fights over legislation control and Families our current border there is a decades-old issue that seems to be slipping past most of it public with these fights the issue of human trafficking.

This quasi-legalized form of trafficking has been an ongoing issue that affects all those up and down the political and socio-economic spectrum. When this issue is brought up, it is made to seem impossible. When brought up for some kind of attempted legislation it is made as it’s too difficult, too complex, or the public isn’t interested enough in getting anything done. Or both sides are pointing their blame fingers at each other However, a porous border is quite the setup relished and utilized by traffickers.

There are the different sources that indicate why certain government officials, on both sides of the aisle, are interested in keeping the status quo at the border for themselves and those they work with.  And despite all of the protestations of the left, President Obama, despite all of his efforts, has also been to blame in trafficking. Asper a news article from the Washington Post, dated January 28, 2016 states:

The Obama administration failed to protect thousands of Central American children who have flooded across the U.S. border since 2011, leaving them vulnerable to traffickers and to abuses at the hands of government-approved caretakers, a Senate investigation has found.

The Office of Refugee Resettlement, an agency of the Department of Health and Human Services, failed to do proper background checks of adults who claimed the children, allowed sponsors to take custody of multiple unrelated children, and regularly placed children in homes without visiting the locations”

Research into this issue also shows that with trafficking being profitable in different ways to both political parties. For the Republicans, it’s almost slave labor that can be used in everything from the construction to the hospitality industries. With a low obligation to cover insurance or taxes for The undocumented or falsely documented gives loopholes for Republicans to exploit. Also there a link to various daycares that are being covered by leaders by Republican crony capitalism maneuvering behind the scenes, during the border separation crisis.

As far as the Democrats side of things with many government services, which are pushed by that party, provided to these immigrants then that is potential voters. Also, this provides new Warm Bodies to fill lines of protesters and Democrat owned businesses who utilize similar tactics, as Republicans as far as undocumented or falsely documented workers.

According to Independent side The Refuge, illegal immigration is an issue exploited by both sides, as per an article on their site, dated June 20n, 2018:

‘Human smuggling is big business. If you dig into the IRS 990 forms you’ll see a lot of, well, “generous” wage/benefit perks. Golf, florists, cafe’s, mysterious leases, land purchases, third party mortgages, $$$ Spouses on the payroll, etc.

So when you’ve got each individual immigration business making multi-hundreds of millions; and politicians getting kick-backs (lobbyists); and bribes to Mexican government officials; and payments to smugglers; who do you think actually wants the business to stop?”

We need to realize that the actions of current Democrat Majority Leader Chuck Schumer, and the inaction by Republicans in the House and Senate, and involvement at the mainstream media that there are bigger things steak money-wise that is at the border.

Whether it be the constant inflammatory and bogus information given on CNN, or the constant blame of the Obama Administration and past actions before Trump by Fox, the human trafficking is a $50 to $70 billion dollar a year industry, and there are plenty of people whose hands in the pockets of traffickers in all levels of government and media.

We the People need to take a step back from all the hype and hoopla and look at ways on a grassroots level to push for intelligent legislative reform for our borders and find ways to be made to help those who are hurting and separated from those they love. In closing the Department of Health and Human Services has reported that 10,000 of the 12,000 children at the border came without parents,  came with people that were smugglers, traffickers, returning deported criminals, or who were wanting to use the kids as a get into the country free card. If we really want to reunite these kids with their families should we be looking at the best way to do so?
