United They Rock: Wizard World Austin’s DC Power Play

It should be no surprise to anyone that Justice League is one of the most anticipated comic based movies to come out in a long time. And Wizard World’s Austin show promises to be one that should give DC fandom a chance to feed their movie fueled fever during it’s November 17-19th 2017 weekend.

First up, Jason Mamoa, Aquaman himself, is a headliner at the show. Mr. Mamoa who has sci-fi and fantasy credits ranging from Stargate: Atlantis to  Conan The Barbarian, is considered by many to be a terrific interpretation of the character after the release of the Justice League trailers.

Yes, Jason Mamoa is not your grandpa’s Aquaman, he’s way groovier.

Also, on hand from the DC Cineverse will be Val Kilmer, star of Tombstone and Batman Forever.

“Sure, kid maybe Batman should’ve told The Riddler, he’s no daisy at all.”

Also attending will be Dean Cain, star of the 90’s ABC show Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman as well as a guest/semi-recurring star on The CW’s  Supergirl.

Also, Kevin Conroy and Loren Lester, voice actors from the DC Animated Universe will be present as well.

And I still have super hair.

For those people, who are Marvel fans Michael Rooker (Yondu from Guardians of The Galaxy) and Lou Ferrigno (The INcredible Hulk TV series) will also be on hand,

If your tastes lean more towards sci-fi or horror, Wizard World has got that covered as well. Nichelle Nichols, Lt. Uhura, from the original Star Trek franchise, will be a guest as well as cast members from Firefly and The Walking Dead will also be guests at the show.

Also, popular culture/media stars such as Howard Hesseman and Loni Anderson from WKRP In Cincinnati and Gene Simmons from KISS will be guests as well.

Loni Anderson and Howard Hesseman both stars of WKRP and special guests at Wizard World Austin.

Along with the celebrity guests, Wizard World cons have a large artist’s alley, plenty of comics and other incredible vendors, and also have fan groups, panels, and activities to check out at the show. Along, with the incredible cosplayers and fun of all kinds, these shows are great for con newcomers as well as seasoned nerd veterans.
