This Walking Dead Actor Quits Social Media For a Shocking Reason

Josh McDermitt, who plays Eugene on the popular AMC program The Walking Dead may have survived Negan’s bat but he could not survive the keyboard of trolls. The actor has gone and deactivated all of his social media accounts. The 38-year-old sites death threats following the events of this past season. Which we won’t go into for spoiler reasons.

In a video originally posted on the UK’s DailyMail McDermitt is seen stating his displeasure at fans of the show and the death threats he’s received.

McDermitt posted a video on Facebook Live shortly before deactivating his Facebook, Twitter and Instagram accounts, in it he expressed his frustration at being repeatedly abused and threatened. He is quoted as saying

‘Death threats? Don’t send me death threats because I’m going to report all that s**t to the cops. I’m just sick of it,’ he said.

Understandably McDermitt is unable to determine if these threats are for Eugene or him personally. In the video seen below he reacts to those comments and as you’ll see it isn’t a positive reaction. My real question is what’s he eating? I’m hungry and it sounds as though he’s enjoying it. Also sweet mullet trucker hat combo. We’ll see you whenever you come back, Josh.

What do you guys think? Is Josh overexaggerating? Are people just pretty much garbage? I’d love to hear your thoughts on the matter and also do you watch The Walking Dead? Why or why not?
