Mr. Henry Melton is an author of mostly science fiction and fantasy books. His best-known works, Small Towns, Big Ideas, involve young adults that getting themselves into trouble with aliens or super-science. He travels quite a bit and those experiences inspired him to ground stories in the real world, and in current times with mostly, ordinary people.
I had the opportunity to interview Mr. Melton at Wizard World in Austin Texas November 2017. In this conversation, I was able to ask him about his work his inspirations and the many fascinating ideas connected to his novels. Check out the video below:
He is currently a resident of Hutto, Texas, and has even based one of his novels in that setting.
Mr. Melton is also a fairly active blogger and contributes on his site as well as on Amazon.com and he has written a guide to his novels various levels maturity on his website. You can even download a copy of the guide for free.
He has also won awards for his works, Emperor Dad, was the winner of the 2008 Darrell Award for Best Novel and Lighter Than Air won the 2009 Eleanor Cameron / Golden Duck.
