Ben Affleck Reportedly Has Met With HBO Max About Batman Film

It is a good time to be a fan of DC Superheroes! With many many new films in the works, including Black Adam, Shazam 2, Suicide Squad 2 and The Batman in development. However, the discussions have been dominated by talk of the so-called “Snyderverse” which is the DCEU films of Man of Steel, Batman V Superman, Wonder Woman, and the highly anticipated Directors Cut of Justice League which is set to drop on HBO Max in mid 2021.

Ben Afflecks Batman was one of the more controversial aspects of DC for a hot minute, however like a fine wine Afflecks Bruce Wayne has aged well and is now regularly at the top of fan lists with Keaton and Bale. Fans were ecstatic when it was announced that he would return for the upcoming Flash movie, before Affleck retired from the role of Batman, he had written a script for a solo Batman film that was said to be fantastic by those who read it.

It featured Batman fighting Deathstroke, needless to say, fans were excited before, there has been endless speculation regarding if Affleck could return to HBO Max to direct and star in his solo Batman film or not.

Well, now we may have some news on that front. Now here at the Hare, we are not into giving out “Breaking News” or unnamed source information, we prefer to deal in hard facts. However, this information comes from Geekosity Magazine, which is run by Editor in Chief Mikey Sutton now Sutton has a reputation for being a Scooper and has a startlingly accurate record for scooping information that comes true.

According to Sutton his sources have told him the following regarding Ben Affleck at his Batman solo film.

There have been discussions with him directing his Dark Knight movie for HBO Max, as I leaked in the past; beyond that, it’s uncertain

So according to this news, it would seem that ATT and HBO Max are at the very least interested in Ben Afflecks Batman making a return to the streaming service. HBO Max is a new streamer and needs brand new and eyeball catching content, Ben Afflecks Batman in a film could for sure be just the thing!
