The Global Kid: A Conversation With Dr. Maha Hosain Aziz on a Post Pandemic World

In 2016, Dr. Maha Hosain Aziz, is an NYU professor specializing in Global Risk, World Economic Forum risk expert, and author of the global politics book Future World Order (A bestseller and six-time award winner). She drew the crowdfunded political comic book, The Global Kid, which stars the superhero character of 14-year-old Sami. Sami lived in different countries with his family. Much like Dr. Aziz did – 7 countries by age 14, and observed political problems (much like Dr. Aziz does in her day job), The Global Kid in 2021 won its seventh education award and was a Top 16 Amazon bestseller.

Now, The Global Kid is entering into the virtual and augmented realms with its long-overdue sequel! In 2021 The Global Kid won the Moonbeam Children’s Book Award, and it was a finalist in the Global Hero category of the Germany-based 2021 Digital Female Leader Awards.

The Global Kid is an exciting and thought-provoking book that seamlessly blends AR technology with global politics in a way that kids and parents will understand and have fun with.

Recently I had the pleasure of sitting down with Dr. Maha Aziz to discuss the Global Kid and talk about how it fits in the world today, where we are headed in a post-pandemic era and the role children today will play in the future.

I hope you enjoy our conversation!
